§  neoprene- or universal-glue
§  needle and thread
§  a button
or any other fastener you like
§  damp cloth Speedy 100, Speedy 300, Speedy 400, Speedy 500

Suitable laser machines:
Speedy 100, Speedy 300,
Speedy 400, Speedy 500
Trotec laser used:
Speedy 300, 30 watts, 2.0 inch lens

Step 1: Preparation
For the neoprene clutch, you need a piece of neoprene, neoprene glue or universal glue, and a needle and thread. For the closure you can use any kind of buttons or hooks you like.
It is recommended to use the honeycomb table in the laser in order to avoid possible back reflections in the laser cutting process. In addition, a damp cloth will help you to clean off the smoke residue.
Prepare the graphic in CorelDraw or Illustrator and fit it to your individual needs. You can also design your own bag - there are no limits to your creativity.
Step 2: Laser Settings
We worked on a Speedy 300 (30 watts) and used the following parameters. Depending on the laser power of your machine and the unique material properties, the optimal parameters may vary.
Engraving: Power: 40% - Speed: 50% - Frequency: 500 ppi - Air Assist: ON
Soft-Engraving: Power: 20% - Speed: 50% - Frequency: 500 ppi - Air Assist: ON
Cutting: Power: 30% - Speed: 2.0% - Frequency: 2000 Hz - Air Assist: ON
Before you take the piece out of the laser, clean any smoke residue off of the fabric with a damp cloth.
Step 3: Sewing or Gluing
For the strongest join, sew the edges together by hand or with a sewing machine. You can also use special neoprene glue to join the pieces. This is quick and easy, but don't get glue on your fingers! If you don't have neoprene glue, you can also try super glue.

Step 4: Fastener
You have the choice how you want to close the bag. There are many options at your local craft store. Here are some ideas:
§  snap fastener
§  fancy buttons
§  magnetic closure
§  velcro
§  ...

Attention: different types of Neoprene
For laser processing exclusively SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) is suitable. Please don't use any other mixtures such as CR Neoprene (Rubber Chlorophene) or SCR (Styrene-Rubber Chlorophene), these are not suitable for laser processing.
